Confronting the issue of marine pollution caused by nuclear wastewater, this project adopts a critical and ironic perspective to imagine the future form of seafood under nuclear contamination. Using the narrative power of product design, it presents a speculative scenario in which humans may be forced to consume distorted and polluted marine organisms. The project aims to raise awareness of the severe consequences of ocean pollution and to call for collective action to protect the marine environment.

XOOM envisions a near-future lifestyle defined by minimal social interaction, responding to the rising self-directed needs of “super-individuals.” By reorganizing personal services, daily routines, and key touchpoints, the project builds an efficient system that supports an almost interaction-free mode of living. Each designed element enhances autonomy and reduces friction, enabling users to maintain a high-quality life with less time and cost. At the same time, the project encourages reflection on how social connection is being redefined in an increasingly isolated society.
